Everyone needs something to do while they’re on the run from the cops, and soon you’ll be able to practice breaking out of prison! Team 17 and Mouldy Toof Studios has announced that The Escapists 2 will be heading to the Nintendo Switch on January 11th. Team up with your partner in crime by grabbing a Joy-Con or a Pro controller and work together to break out. You can also go head-to-head to see who can break out the fastest. All these multiplayer modes can also be played online with others making the Switch the perfect console for fugitives on the run, an inmate looking to pass the time with their cell mates, or a troublemaker spending some time in solitary.

The Escapist 2 will feature 10 uniquely themed prisons and over 300 ways to customize your convicts. As previously mentioned, you can participle in local and online drop-in drop-out co-op, or play by yourself. There’s even a tutorial to get you through your first day in the joint.

The Escapists 2 made a break for it on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 earlier this year and will finally be coming to the Switch on January 11th, 2018. Take a look at the announcement trailer below and get the crew together for one list heist.

I remember playing Super Mario Bros. and Metroid on the NES with my older brother, and never being able to land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun. I faked being sick so I could stay home from school and play Quake II once, but now I request days off from work instead of lying. Age of Empires II is still the best RTS, Half-Life is still the best FPS, and I still think the end of Mass Effect 3 was great!
