The Game Awards ceremony occurred last night. Presented by Geoff Keighley, it is the insutry’s prestige awards ceremony, bringing people from all facets of gaming together for a night of celebration. Think The Oscars, but for video games. Like in previous years, the event was live streamed to Twitch and other live video services. Twitch actually allowed streamers to co-stream the event and have their viewers predict the winners using a Twitch extension live.
While everyone had their personal picks, there could only one winner in each category. And while the event went off without a hitch, some of the categories didn’t get their time to shine, so if you missed some of the winners, don’t feel bad because you’re not the only one. Here is the list of the nominees in each category, with the winner highlighted in bold.
Once you’ve check out the list, don’t forget to vote in our community game of the year awards and have your voice counted!
