The Adventure Pals is on track to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in Spring 2018. It will also have a playable demo at this year’s PlayStation Experience. The Adventure Pals is a 2D side scrolling platformer that focuses on exploration, but also has some RPG elements. The game will also feature local drop in/drop out co-op, so you can explore with a friend.

Developer Massive Monster has been hard at work on the game since having their Kickstarter successfully funded last year. Kickstarter backers were also given early beta access in October. Massive Monster is partnering with Armor Games Studios to bring the game to as many platforms as possible for launch. You can check out the wacky trailer below to give you an idea of what to expect from The Adventure Pals.

The Adventure Pals seems to be delivering on it’s Kickstarter promise. It looks to be a colorful, silly platformer that will make for a great co-op experience. Hopefully the the game ends up being just as much fun to play as it is to watch.

I remember playing Super Mario Bros. and Metroid on the NES with my older brother, and never being able to land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun. I faked being sick so I could stay home from school and play Quake II once, but now I request days off from work instead of lying. Age of Empires II is still the best RTS, Half-Life is still the best FPS, and I still think the end of Mass Effect 3 was great!
