It’s our big Game of the Year episode! We talk through our favorite games of the year in this episode. From RE2 to Jedi: Fallen Order, find out what stuck with us the most. Per tradition, we also dredge up some stinkers to remind everyone not all video games are created equal. It’s also the end of a decade, so we spend the final portion of the show talking about the games that impacted us, and the industry, the most over the past 10 years. Finally, we talk about what we’re looking forward to next year.

Games discussed: Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Satisfactory, A Plague Tale Innocence, Void Bastards, Outer Wilds, Cadence of Hyrule, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Remnant: From the Ashes, Control, Borderlands 3, The Outer Worlds, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Days Gone, Left Alive, Generation Zero, Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip, Wold of Warcraft, Final Fantasy IX, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, Batman: Arkham City, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Dark Souls, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Remake

I remember playing Super Mario Bros. and Metroid on the NES with my older brother, and never being able to land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun. I faked being sick so I could stay home from school and play Quake II once, but now I request days off from work instead of lying. Age of Empires II is still the best RTS, Half-Life is still the best FPS, and I still think the end of Mass Effect 3 was great!
