Telltale Games came in with three big announcements this morning. They are sharing their upcoming projects leading into 2018. This may come as exciting, but somber news for some anxious fans. It looks like we’ll be seeing a much overdue sequel and an end to a fan favorite.
Batman: The Enemy Within – A Telltale Series is set to premiere next month. The first episode of this five part season will premiere on August 8th. Your choices from Batman: The Telltale Series will carry over into the new season. It will also still support the new Twitch “Crowd Play” feature for streamers wanting to allow interaction with their viewers.
“In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?”
Also announced, a new and final season of The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series will be releasing in 2018. They have stated that the “fan favorite” Clementine will return as the lead role. We have been watching Clem grow into herself since she premiered in 2012, and I’m sure the final season will be a crazy emotional ride!
And to the surprise of many Telltale fans, a second season of The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Series is in the works for release in the second half of 2018. Based on the ‘Fables’ comic book series, this new season will begin a fresh story with its returning cast of characters.
Each series will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Check out the three part “Telltale Summer Update” video below for more information.
