Nosebleed Interactive in collaboration with Wired Production have announced that Vostok Inc. will be coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on December 7th. It will cost $14.99 at launch. Vostok Inc. was originally released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 27th, 2017.

The game is a mix between a twin-stick shooter and an idle clicker game. You fly from planet to planet, building structures that generate revenue over time. In between conquering planets, you can fly around in your star fighter, attacking enemies in classic twin-stick shooter fashion. It’s an interesting mix of genres that should fit well on the Switch.

They are self describing Vostok Inc. as a “cult favorite,” which may be an interesting way to say that it didn’t sell well as the Steam version only has 20 user reviews. At any rate, the gameplay and concepts seem sound as long as you can get wrapped up in the clicker-style gameplay progression. It should also be a good fit for the Switch, allowing you to dive in more frequently when you’re on the the go.

Let us know if you will be picking up Vostok Inc. on the Switch and what you think about the game if you’ve already played it on the other platforms.

I remember playing Super Mario Bros. and Metroid on the NES with my older brother, and never being able to land on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun. I faked being sick so I could stay home from school and play Quake II once, but now I request days off from work instead of lying. Age of Empires II is still the best RTS, Half-Life is still the best FPS, and I still think the end of Mass Effect 3 was great!
